I’ve never seen a Palm that bends against the wind, or a tree struggle to grow in another direction. So I’m flowing with this thought with this first morning palms, to flowing and perusing memories. I come across my last Hawaii Sunset just before I left for Law School. Just flowing and bending and feeling no pain just happiness with this flow. There’s so much happening in this photo that it can be described plain and simply as utter bliss. Everyone is either on a dinner cruise, enjoying a nice sunset paddle, families and workers just off a rough days work are returning to their sunsets. And friends are rejoicing. For me, this was one of my most memorable moments to capture. Before I took the photo, the five young guys to the right of the picture had seen me shooting and asked me if I could take a photo of them together. They were so excited, and overjoyed, I guess they thought I was a professional photographer. But for me the experience was two fold because just seeing them raise their arms in the air and cheer at the sight of the Sunset, made me cheerfully cry. That’s the power of MANA, the power of beauty and the essence that beauty has to lift people out from whatever it is that they are doing, and freeze, and pause, and raise their arms and cheer to Mana, cheer to Peace to Love, Life, Hope and Humanity. So I’m flowing and bending like palm tree with all the positive energy life offers me. Young people come outside of the games and the apps and the hopeful elders come outside of your fears worries, and return to your sunsets and start flowing and bending.
